I’ve been waiting since I was 6 years old to get a cow. That’s over 25 years of waiting, ever so patiently, I might add. Have you ever waited 25 years for something? Tomorrow my journey begins. I will drive 8 hours round trip, along with my trusty father in law copilot and my rambunctious toddler, who tends to make every adventure interesting and pick up a Gorgeous bred Jersey Cow, who I’ve already named Jersey Girl.
Today of course I had to do some shopping for Jersey Girl because every girl, bovine or other, needs some bling. Yes, my milk cow got pretty things, shiny things, pink things and things that I don’t even know what the heck they are but they were in the cattle isle so obviously I NEEDED to purchase them!
So now what?
The barn is ready, the alfalfa is plentiful, and water tank is full. Now I have to sit on my hands and wait. I guess I’ve waited this long, I can wait 12 more hours.
